Cultured Stone Wainscoting Blends New Addition to  Old Farmhouse

This was a job completed at a beautiful horse farm in Oro-Medonte . The client had decided to put an addition on an existing structure and contracted us to include a cultured stone wainscoting to match the existing field stone that was on the original farmhouse. We used a blend of two stone colours, Bucks County and Chardonnay field stone, to get a fairly good match with the original field stone that actually came from the fields surrounding this house. The clients decided to go with cultured for their addition due to the significant savings. Cultured, or manufactured stone as it is known in the industry, is significantly cheaper to install than natural stone and does not require costly upgrades to the foundation either.

The variation of colours and types of manufactured stone make it an excellent choice when deciding to upgrade the look of your home. The fact that it is difficult to distinguish between the original stone work, which is almost 100 years old, and the new cultured stone is a testament to the versatility and quality of this excellent product. We would love the opportunity to upgrade the look of your house. You can call 705 835-6759 anytime to get a no obligation quote.

We also completed a three sided fireplace that divided the living room from the dinning room. This was a blend of Bucks County ledge stone with Twenty percent field stone. This way we were able to carry the look of the stone on the outside of the house to compliment the inside as well. The stone on the side facing here actually goes up 20 feet past the second floor landing. The aged beams on either side of the fireplace really made the fireplace look amazing. The wrap around hearth provides a nice touch to complete the look. The client was thrilled with the results.
